Mohsin Shariff Educational & Charitable Trust (MSECT) was established in the year 2002 by Mr. Mohsin Shariff, who began his journey in social service in 1998 with a deep commitment to selfless service. The Trust was formally registered to expand and institutionalize its humanitarian activities for the welfare of society. MSECT is founded on the principle that true service needs no publicity. Guided by humility and compassion, the Trust works with a clear vision to serve society without discrimination and to uplift the underprivileged through meaningful and sustainable initiatives.

Recognized by the Government of Karnataka, MSECT was entrusted with the responsibility of implementing the Mid-Day Meal Programme on behalf of the State and Central Governments. Through written agreements with the Zilla Panchayath, Bangalore, the Trust provides daily hot, hygienic mid-day meals to nearly 50,000 school children studying from 1st to 10th standard in Government and Aided schools across Bangalore. These services are delivered without distinction of language, caste, creed, or religion.

Serving Communities
with Care

Healthy Food
For the past 10 years, the Trust has been providing daily hot mid-day meals to around 50,000 students from 182 government and aided schools, in partnership with the State and Central Governments.

Clean Water
Since 1st August 2010, the Trust has been providing packaged drinking water to around 50,000 students from government and aided schools across multiple language mediums.

Medical help
The Trust has organized healthcare camps in the slum areas of Bangalore and provided a complete course of Hepatitis B vaccinations to school children and their parents in adopted schools.

Education
The Trust has offered merit-based scholarships to students who secured above 90% marks, irrespective of caste or creed, supporting their educational growth.

Healthy Meals for University Students
MSECT proudly provides nutritious hot midday meals at Jnana Bharathi Campus, Bangalore University, supporting students and staff with healthy, hygienic food every day. This service began on 1st March 2014 after signing an MoU with Bangalore University authorities and marks an important milestone in our journey of service. The program has received an encouraging response from beneficiaries and campus visitors alike. Meals are prepared using safe packaged drinking water, fresh ingredients, and strict hygiene standards, ensuring quality and nutrition in every serving.

Mid-Day Meals - 2000
The Trust has been providing daily hot mid-day meals with water to about 50,000 school children studying in Kannada, Urdu, Tamil, Telugu and English schools since the year 2000.
Central Jail Program - 2002
On Republic Day 2002, the Trust served special meals to Central Jail inmates, with Mr. Amrish and Prof. Yejazuddin as guests.
Rice Cleaning Unit - 2004
The Trust has installed a sophisticated Rice Cleaning Unit exclusively for mid-day meals to the school children in the year 2004 for hygiene purpose.
Warm Cloths to Senior Citizen - 2004
The Trust has distributed warm cloths to senior citizen in the year 2004.
Central Jail Program - January 26, 2006
On Republic Day 2006, the Trust held a program at Central Jail, Bengaluru, with freedom fighters Mr. Rajappa and Mr. Herematt as chief guests, and Prof. Dr. Yejazuddin as special invitee.
Central Jail Program - January 28, 2006
The Trust has offered free special meals to about 4000 prisoners of the central jail, Bangalore on 28th January 2006 in view of Republic Day 2006.
Central Jail Program-January 30,2006
On 30 January 2006, the Trust distributed sewing machines and vocational tools to outgoing inmates at Central Jail, Bengaluru, in connection with Republic Day.
Kannada Rajyothsava - 2008
In 2008, the Trust celebrated Kannada Rajyotsava at Town Hall, Bengaluru, marking the classical status of Kannada, with Justice Gurumurthy, Mr. Nanjun Swamy IPS, and Prof. Dr. Yejazuddin as special invitees.
