Our Key Initiatives
- Daily Hot Mid-Day Meals for School Children
The Trust provides daily hot mid-day meals to students of Government and Aided Schools.
No donations are collected by the Trust for this program, as it is fully supported by the State and Central Governments.
- Government support : ₹2 Crore annually for 220 working days
- Rice supplied : 30 lakh kg annually
- Coverage : Government & Aided School Children
- The government support is sufficient to meet the entire requirement for this initiative
- BSI-Approved Packaged Drinking Water for School Children
The Trust provides BSI-approved packaged drinking water to approximately 50,000 school children every day, entirely at its own cost.
- Annual cost : ₹2.40 Crore (for 220 working days)
- Includes : Bottling, transportation, labour, and taxes
- Funding source : Volunteer donors and well-wishers
- Daily Hot Mid-Day Meals for Senior Citizens
The Trust serves daily hot meals along with BSI-approved packaged drinking water to around 10,000 senior citizens.
- Cost per plate : ₹8
- Service period : 311 days per year
- Annual expenditure : ₹2,83,20,000
- Funding source : Volunteer donors and well-wishers
- Donations are exempt under Section 80G of the Income Tax Act, 1961
To extend this service to 1 lakh senior citizens in the next academic year.
- Borewell Digging for Water-Scarce Areas
The Trust undertakes borewell digging projects in regions affected by water scarcity.
- Borewells dug annually : 500
- Cost per borewell : Bottling, transportation, labour, and taxes
- Total annual cost : ₹10 Crore
- Funding source : Volunteer donors and well-wishers
- Donations qualify for 80G tax exemption
